The following was taught and prayed through during our 9:30 a.m. family prayer time with Joanne Summers

Isaiah 59:19 (AMPC) - So [as the result of the Messiah’s intervention] they shall [reverently] fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight [for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives].

During prayer I heard the word “counteract” – to act against (something) in order to reduce its force or neutralize it; to make ineffective or restrain or neutralize the usually ill effects of by means of an opposite force, action, or influence; hinder or defeat by contrary action; to defy the effects of something. Syn.: cancel out; halt, negate, offset, prevent.

The Lord of Host will direct the angelic forces of heaven to go forth and counteract every move that Satan, wicked men influenced by Satan and the hold the world has had on our children in these last days. We shall see great deliverance and salvation. Psalm 91:11-13 (TPT) – 11 God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go, defending you from all harm. 12 If you walk into a trap, they’ll be there for you and keep you from stumbling. 13 You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness trampling every one of them beneath you feet!

Our children will be rescued—the battle is the Lords. What seemed impossible to be changed in our children’s live, God is able to transform—set free, to His glory. Isaiah 49:24-25 (ERV) – 24 If a strong soldier takes a prisoner, can you set him free? If a powerful soldier guards someone, can the prisoner escape? 25 Here is the Lord’s answer: “The prisoners will escape. Those captured by the strong soldier will be set free. That’s because I will fight your battles, and I will save your children.” Jeremiah 3:22 (ESV) – Return, O faithless sons; I will heal your faithlessness. Behold, we come to You, for You are the Lord our God.

Our part is to pray and declare the Word of God over our children: One of the greatest fears of every parent is that our child(ren) would experience, sickness, tragedy, or worse yet not come to, or fall away from the faith. But God has left us promises in Scripture that we can hold on to. The enemy knows that if he can distract us with fear, we cannot excel in faith! But we are told not to be fearful about anything. 1 Timothy 1:7 (AMPC) – For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, or craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has give us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

  • Our God is greater: Ephesians 3:20 (AMPC)

  • The Apostle Paul encourages us by the prompting of the Holy Spirit—Hebrews 11:1 (AMPC)

  • The devil knows that if he can ensnare us with worry, we will be unable to trust God when what we see happening in our the lives of our children is contrary to what we are believing for. However, we are invited to cast our anxieties, our cares on Him. 1 Peter 5:7 (AMPC)

  • We put a hedge of protection around them: Job 1:10a (AMPC)

  • They are awakening from sleep: Romans 13:11a (AMPC)

  • The battle ground is in their minds: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NOG)

  • That they will have spiritual eyes to see: Acts 9:18 (AMPC); Job 42:5 (AMPC)

  • That they would return to their borders: Jeremiah 31:16-17 (VOICE)
