I heard the word Reluctant
Noah Webster 1828: Striving against; unwilling; much opposed in heart.
When CS Lewis became a Christian, he described himself as the most “reluctant convert in all England.”
We have unsaved or backslidden members in our families who are reluctant to give their heart to Jesus. However, even the hardest heart is able to receive Jesus (look at Saul in Acts).
We are declaring over them that their deaf ears are hearing, blind eyes are seeing, hearts are no longer hard as the Truth is revealed to them. We bind the spirit of doubt, confusion, and unbelief. Also, we come against pride and man's intellect. Truth, humility, hope, and life loosed over them in Jesus’ name.
Matthew 4:16-17 GW
[16] The people who lived in darkness have seen a bright light. A light has risen for those who live in a land overshadowed by death.” [17] From then on, Jesus began to tell people, “Turn to God and change the way you think and act, because the kingdom of heaven is near!”
